District of Columbia Dental Society Honors Leo Rouse

The U.S. Army Dental Corps is proud of the leadership it brings to the dental profession. In the case of retired Colonel Leo Rouse, it is the excellence he brings to dental education. At the June 7, 2011 meeting, the District of Columbia Dental Society awarded Dr. Rouse, Dean of the Howard University College of Dentistry the Sterling V. Mead Award for distinguished contributions to society, the dental profession and research. he is currently also the President of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA).

Colonel (Ret.) Rouse concluded his 24-year career as the Commander, U.S. Army Dental Command (1995 – 1997). He was appointed Dean of Howard University College of Dentistry in 2004.
