2024 MG Patrick D Sculley DDS Board of Regents Award
21 April 2024 – CPT Aaron Colamarino receives the prestigious 2024 MG Patrick D. Sculley Award. The award was first presented in 2017. A Board of Regents Award is the highest honor a graduating USU student can receive and is presented to one student from the university’s Postgraduate Dental College (PDC), Graduate School of Nursing, School of Medicine and Graduate Education programs. Recipients must have demonstrated superior academic performance and professional excellence, as well as commitment to serving fellow students and the community. Recipients are considered role models in leadership and scholarship, both as individuals and as team members. The Sculley award also emphasizes excellence in research. CPT Colamarino’s work on the influence of Lactobacillus reuteri, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis, and prebiotic inulin on dysbiotic dental biofilm composition ex vivo was first published in the December 2022 issue of the Journal of Periodontology.
