American Dental Association Recognizes Army Dentist
20 March 2024 – The ADA awards its 2024 10 Under 10 Award to MAJ Martin J. Smallidge, an Army prosthodontist. The award recognizes young dentists in the United States who have demonstrated significant achievements in their field within ten years of graduation. Smallidge is Capability Manager for Dental Services at the Army Futures Command’s (AFC) Medical Capability Development and Integration Directorate (MED CDID). As a captain, Smallidge received the Joseph L. Bernier Award for his research entitled “Human Gingival Epithelial Growth In Vitro on a Polymer-Infiltrated Ceramic Network Restorative Material.”
