COL Stefan Olpinski, the last commander of DHC, West, and SFC Leticia Seijas, the unit’s senior noncommissioned officer, case the colors.

Dental Health Commands, previously known as Regional Dental Commands, have been subordinate to U.S. Army Dental Command (DENCOM). In September 2024, DHC – Central, which was responsible for all DENTACs west of the Mississippi, was redesignated Dental Health Command, West (DHC, West). This command has been responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of 11 DENTACs and the delivery of dental care to more than 200,000 Solders at 12 Army and joint installations across eight states. Going forward, all dental units in the West region are part of their respective Medical Treatment Facilities.
