Twenty-Eighth Chief of the U.S. Army Dental Corps
1 September 2018 – COL Shan K. Bagby, becomes the first African American Army Dental Officer to be promoted to brigadier general and is appointed as the 28th Chief of the Army Dental Corps. (1 September 2018). On 26 June 2020 BG Bagby assumes command of Brook Army Medical Center and on 6 May 2021 he assumes command of the U.S. Army Regional Medical Command – Central.
